ADOLESCENT SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH.

Inadequate sexual reproductive health information, services and limited life skills among adolescents have exuberated into the following;

  • Unhealthy decision making.

  • Negative social relations.

  • Early pregnancies.

  • Sexually transmitted diseases.

  • Drug abuse and psychological distress.

  •

ABCCA trains peer educators to conduct peer to peer sessions in Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health education and counseling among youth.

Youth are equipped with knowledge and life skills to cope with societal demands such as menstrual hygiene management, delaying early marriage, addressing harmful gender and cultural practices against youth, build self-confidence and practice healthy sexual behaviors.

Youth friendly centers in our communities are created where youth are referred to access sexual reproductive health information and services. A number of youth friendly approaches such as peer to peer engagements, music dance and drama radio talk shows and public forum are supported to deliver messages on Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health.
