AIM BORN CHAMPIONS CHILDREN AFRICA
Transforming Lives of Vulnerable Children and Families to a Bright Shining Future.
Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) is a community development organization working towards breaking the cycle of poverty and dependency among poor families in the rural societies of Uganda and supporting children to achieve their dreams through education.
OUR STORY
Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2016 to support vulnerable, hungry children and their families in rural communities.
Kibwiika Joseph, the founder of Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA), gathered a wonderful team of women and men who recognized the need for the children who dropped out of school when they were too young.
The girls who faced challenges during their menstrual cycle and this was causing them to drop out of school.
The women who died in labour and left their babies orphans.
The orphans who died due to famine.
The poverty alleviations in different families affecting parents especially the widows.
Because of all these circumstances, a group named Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) was formed. Orphans of different forms were supported through helping babies with formula milk and nutritious food supplements, basic needs deliveries, education sponsorships among others.
The ABCCA team was able to feed the hungry children and families by growing food, raising awareness for children to go to school, and supporting widows and the elderly.
The development of ABCCA structures was driven by the Director's late grandfather (MHSRIP) in 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, the director, together with his grandfather, supported orphans and hungry families with food, treated sick orphans, helped children attend school, and provided them with school supplies.

In the Beginning - Now.
When ABCCA was founded, we did not expect it to expand in this way to change the lives of many children and families and rural communities through our larger efforts. The children who were with us in the beginning did not know that their lives and the lives of so many others would be changed forever.

In the rural communities of Uganda, our ABCCA team discovered families with orphans living in the worst conditions imaginable.
These children whose ages 4-14, slept on a rocky, dirt floor with no beds or blankets. Cockroaches and other insects, as well as rats, climbed over them while they slept, and their rooms turned to mud when it rained.

Their bodies were covered with rashes and many suffered from bacterial infections. Every day these children were hungry, sat idle, were uneducated, unloved and completely hopeless. Some children were able to escape to other cities and became street children because of their hopeless lives. It was at this time that ABCCA was founded to help these children.

By working with wonderful people in the world who support our work, the children have found hope by sleeping comfortably, getting three meals a day, receiving a good education, good medical care, and most importantly, love and faith in the Lord who provides for their needs through great donors and sponsors we find in the world "FOUND"
ABCCA is not just a group of people working to empower the people of Uganda. ABCCA is an entire community that is driving economic and social change by promoting local ownership, sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and accountability. Our local leadership and support team is made up of the visionaries, initiators, organizers, doers and advocates of Aim Born Champions Children Africa's sustainable model.
